Travel Information

By plane

London (Ontario) is situated halfway between Detroit and Toronto. Some airlines offer connections to London International Airport (YXU) which may be an option worth considering. You can also fly to Toronto or Detroit and take the RobertQ airbus shuttle to London. The service takes about 2hours from Toronto, and a little longer from Detroit since it has to cross the border. The round trip fee is between $115-$150, and a pick up / drop off service to your hotel can be added for $10-$20. It is preferable to make reservations in advance.

By train

Via Rail Canada.

You can travel by train from Toronto / Ottawa / Montreal and other cities in Canada to London. It is not recommended to travel by train if you are at the Toronto Airport. By bus

Greyhound

Travelling by bus is the cheapest option if you are coming from other cities from Canada and the United States. From downtown Toronto to downtown London it takes approximately 2.5 hours. For more information visit: www.greyhound.ca or www.greyhound.com

By car (Driving directions)

Besides travelling to London by plane, it is possible to drive from Detroit or Toronto. Expected travel time to and from Detroit is between 2.5 to 3.5 hours, depending on conditions at the border. There are three Ports of Entry, Canada via the bridge or through the tunnel in Windsor/Detroit, or via bridge in Port Huron, MI/Sarnia, ON. Driving from Toronto to London takes about 2.0 hours, straight along Highway 401.

Getting to your hotel or campus from the airport

If you are arriving at either London International Airport, Via Rail Canada or Greyhound station, the transportation in London can be via taxi:

  • U-need-a-cab service: (519) 438-2121

If you are arriving at either Toronto Pearson International Airport or Detroit Metro Airport, you can take the shuttle RobertQ airbus. With reservations made in advance, the RobertQ bus will pick you up at the airport and drop you off at your final destination or hotel. Visit reservation.robertq.com/airbus/ to make the reservation and choose the option ‘London (Address)’ as your destination to receive the drop off service.
