Why do we require you to register?

First of all, because we want to know who you are: different people use the ALPI data (we have more than 1000 hits per month) for different purposes, from different institutions and countries. If you check the consent box, we will send you periodic e-mail updates as new data or features are added to the online ALPI site. Secondly, access to the ALPI database is free but subject to certain conditions, and the registration process allows us to ensure that all database users have seen and agreed to these conditions.

Other public areas of this site (those which do not contain fieldwork data) continue to have unrestricted access.
